Mission Statement
Operation Flame, is a community-based organization, that conducts hands-on training and educational services to youth and young adults between the ages of 18-30 from disadvantaged communities of color within the City of Los Angeles. Through prevention and intervention, Operation Flame’s training curriculum will provide all participants with certified credentials that are recognized by the National Wildland Coordinating Group (NWCG) as well as state and federal wildland firefighting agencies nationwide. This training academy will provide services for members of the local community by creating gainful employment and a pathway towards a career in wildland firefighting.
Vision Statement
Operation Flame seeks to create a wildland firefighting contract Cadre within the City of Los Angeles. This Cadre will be made available for both State and Federal agencies upon request. This Cadre will consist of (2) 20 person hand crew, (1) 5 person Type 6 fire engine that includes a (5) person pickup truck and a (2) person Water Tender that is able to transport water to and from fire related incidents and wildland firefighting engine apparatus.

Operation Flame, participants will give back to the community by offering services such as working with agencies to clean city streets and allies by removing litter, removal of graffiti and feeding those that are residents of homeless shelters. Cooperation and community empowerment we believe can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
