Wildland Firefighting Training Academy

The Focus of Our Efforts

Education & Outreach

Most of our efforts pertaining to this program involve studying new approaches and developing innovative ways to implement them. We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements.

In the City of Los Angeles 20,000 students are classified as high school dropouts per yearly average. Operation Flame wildland firefighting internship will also lower the rate of recidivism by providing job training that will create career opportunities to individuals recently released from custody.

Training Academy

Through our training academy, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Operation Flame, and a source of much success for our Non-Profit Organization.

As a community-based organization, Operation Flame's wildland firefighting academy is aimed at the future development of underserved and underprivileged youth of color in disadvantaged communities.
